News & Updates

First show of 2018 + Audio Sample - 5/9/2018

Just a quick note to share a couple things with you.  This weekend we will be playing our first show of 2018 at The Black Dog Arts Cafe in Snoqualmie, WA from 8-10pm.

We are finishing up our upcoming album that will be out later this summer. With all the time recording and mixing our songs, we want to take an evening to get out and play live music.

All the money we make this night from the Tip Jar, Music purchases, and Pre-ordering our new album, will be added to the total in our Go Fund Me campaign where we are raising money to help fund this album.

You can also go to our Go Fund Me page and listen to an audio sample of our song "Take A Leap".  It is a rough mix, but you'll get the idea!  Please venture over there and have a listen and maybe even pre-order the album!  Another way you can help is to share the website below or forward this email to anyone you think may be interested in our music.

We have some other shows coming up in the next couple months.  Go to our website and see where else we are playing.

Thank you for your support and interest in our music creating.

New Album This Summer / Go Fund Me Campaign - 3/30/2018

Hello Everyone!

Hints of spring are showing up here in the NorthWest. Buds on the trees and the sounds of baseball on the radio and TV.  In no time it will be summer and we will be on our 2018 tour!   But....  Before then...

We are finishing our new album set to release this summer. Compared to our prior releases (2013 & 2016), this will be a bit different. With 10 songs, there will be 2 sections to this album. The first half will be more like how people know us when they hear us live. Vocals, Guitar, & Cajon. With a little add here and there. The second half will have more production, instrumentation, soundscapes, & experimentation.

We are reaching out to you now as we are starting our Go Fund Me campaign to raise funds to help us cover some of the costs that come with studio recordings. We aim to raise $2,000. This will help us with mastering, CD replication, & digital distribution (ex. iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify & many other digital distributors around the world).

Please go to the Go Fund Me page and watch our intro video to see how you can help.  We plan to have this run through the month of May. You can also think of this as a pre-order. If you were planning to get our new album anyway please consider pre-ordering it. That will help us out greatly. There are many perks and donation levels to choose from. Even having RFQ come to you and play a show!

Thank you very much for supporting us these past years and for your continued support. We are independent musicians making our own way. We book our tours, run and maintain our own website, & do our own studio work..... and WE LOVE IT ALL!   Knowing we have your support and have fans that connect to our style and song writing - it makes creating and sharing our creations that much sweeter.

We will be updating our Go Fund Me page often with new videos. Stories about the songs, audio samples of the songs, and much more. In the next couple months we will be sending a couple more of these newsletters to keep you up to date.

Thank you!

Helloo New Year! - 12/27/2017

Hello Everyone!

The book on 2017 is about to close and we are taking this moment to say a heartfelt

for your interest and support of our musical adventure known as

Released From Quiet.

We put together a seasonal short video to share with you –

(Click on photo - it will take you to our you tube channel)

We loved the message that reminds us all to “pray for peace people everywhere”.

RFQ’s 2017 began by learning that our song “Place in Space” was a featured song on the Coast to Coast AM radio show! The bookend for this year found us being in the top 16 (out of over 300 submissions) of Seattle Wave Radio’s Jammin’ Challenge with our song “Straight Up Man”.  A big shout out to Seattle Wave Radio - !

2018 will find us working on our 3rd studio album. This will be a bit different than prior releases and we’ll share more on that with you as we get closer.

In the meantime – we want to stay in touch with you!  Some have shared that our newsletter gets lost in their email-box – but they want to stay in touch. We’ve discovered Facebook is not nearly as effective as it used to be for staying in touch, as well. (But! You can still go there and “Like” us, if you haven’t already).

SO! We will be posting more videos to our YouTube channel. You can subscribe to the channel by going here:   RFQ on You Tube

Any ideas of what you’d like to see/hear from us? Drop us a note and let us know!

We wish for you a joy filled and peaceful goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018

as always,

THANK YOU for supporting independent music makers!

Thank You & Final Shows - 8/24/2017

Hey Everyone!

We are nearing the end of our 2017 Summer Tour.

The last scheduled show on the "West Side" of the state is tomorrow! …

Friday - August 25th, The Black Dog Arts Café, Snoqualmie, WA. 8-10pm

The Black Dog has supported artisans of all types - musicians, dancers, writers, jokesters and we'd love to be able to fill the house for them. Their food is top quality homemade yumminess - worth the drive from wherever you may be! They serve beer, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages. This space not only welcomes everyone - but they make everyone feel welcome! Hope to see you there.

Wednesday & Thursday - August 30th & 31st, J. Bookwalter Winery, Richland, WA. 7-10pm each night.

This is our first time playing for the J. Bookwalter tasting room. We will be playing on the patio. The perfect place to start up your holiday weekend!

Sunday – September 3rd, Tumbleweed Music Festival, Richland, WA. 2-2:45pm

We will be playing on the River Stage.. and can’t be more excited to be there. This stage is truly right next to the Columbia River. Gorgeous!!! We hope if you find yourself in the Tri-Cities area this Labor Day weekend you will make your way to this wonderful 3 day music fest in the Howard Amon park by the river.

Can we ask you to help us out?

As we have shared at our live shows – we do all the booking for our shows and tours. When we contact new venues one of the things a booker will do is to check social media to see how many ‘likes’ a band has.

One way you can help us is to go to our Facebook page: ReleasedFromQuiet on Facebook and give us a “like”.

We will soon begin scheduling our next tour. If you know of a venue or music festival in your area that you’d like us to play – send us a note!  We always love hearing from you.

A special thanks to all who have graced us with your presence at our shows and for your continuing support of independent music makers.

It's AUGUST & NEW STICKERS! - 7/30/2017

We hope this note finds you fully enjoying your summertime!

We want to share a few show dates we have coming up in August.  As we've shared before - you may not live near some of these shows - but you may have friends or family who do!  We appreciate you helping us spread the word!

Here are a few shows coming up in the month of August:

Friday - August 11th  Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom,  Snoqualmie, WA.

6:30 - 9:00 pm.  We're excited to return to the Taproom. You can hang out in the loft or on the main floor while you test out their beverage and dinner offerings.  Very friendly place - you'll love it.

Thursday - August 17th   Music @ The Mountain Concert Series

Beaver Creek Lodge, Leavenworth, WA.

6:00 - 8:00 pm  This is an INCREDIBLY beautiful setting. If you do not know of this place - please click on the link and check out their website.  Admission is free and guests can order BBQ,  salads, appetizers, desserts, craft beer and wine during the event. We're thrilled to be back in the mountains of Leavenworth and playing, for the first time, in this lovely place.  (Check out the "history" link on their site - cool stories.)

Sunday - August 20th  Snoqualmie Railroad Days, Snoqualmie, WA.

11:45 am - 12:40 pm   The 79th Snoqualmie Railroad Days is a 3 day festival that showcases "Trains,Timber,Traditions" August 18 - 20th. Take a train ride to the top of Snoqualmie Falls, stroll through town and check out all the vendors offerings.  There will be music all 3 days.  We are playing on Sunday on the Main Stage (located on the King Street lot)

Our 6around1 Studio has been a busy place.

In between our travels we have been in the studio putting finishing touches on our next single release "Someday Fade".  It's just about ready - we'll keep you posted!

We are also beginning to focus on our next full length album to be released in 2018. We've begun the process of laying down the skeleton tracks.  This is a fun process for us and always exciting to see how the songs tell us how they want to come to life.

Throwback:  When we recorded our first self-titled CD in 2013 with Jay Pinto - he said to us: "you guys could do this" - referring to the recording process. We jumped in with four feet and have not looked back! -- Thanks, Jay for that!

What do you think of our new logo?

Stop by one of our shows and we'll share our new LOGO STICKERS!

We have more exciting dates to share upcoming in the latter part of August and into September - we'll let you know of them in a couple weeks. If you don't want to wait! .. or would like more information and directions to our shows - check out our SCHEDULE page.

Hope to see you soon!

and, as always,

THANK YOU for supporting independent music makers!
